About
Hi, I'm Tomoya, a Japanese ramen lover currently living in Dayton, Ohio. I’m a college student, and in my free time, I love exploring different ramen shops across Ohio — usually on Friday nights with friends.
I grew up in Japan, where ramen is a big part of everyday life. As a kid, I loved ramen so much that it became my favorite food. After moving to the U.S., I was shocked that I couldn’t easily find the ramen I could eat anytime in Japan. That experience made me dream of opening my own ramen shop and even a ramen museum in the future.
My favorite type of ramen is Iekei-style (Yokohama-style), which features shoyu tonkotsu broth and medium-thick noodles.
This photo shows Iekei ramen called “631 Ramen” (6 pieces of seaweed, 3 slices of chashu, and 1 egg) from my favorite ramen shop in Japan..
I started this blog because, as a Japanese person and ramen enthusiast, I want to share delicious ramen with more people and help others discover amazing ramen spots in the U.S. On this site, I post honest reviews, pricing information, and unique details about each shop I visit. My goal is to introduce authentic flavors and fun ramen experiences to everyone — locals, visitors, and fellow ramen lovers alike.
Thanks for stopping by — I hope this blog helps you find your next favorite bowl!
